There’s nothing like a little trip to SF to solidify the value of quality organics. The foggy bay, wet redwoods and crisp, chilly air are a reminder to keep it slow and simple. Check out some of these Fall details from John Patrick Organic. He’s incorporated vegetable-tanned leather and some indigo-dyed organic cotton as well. I think that lace skirt is cotton – how gorgeous is that? I love this layered 1930′s rural vibe of the top 2 shots, and the city-chic paired with craft of the 2 shots below. Well done, and refreshing, wouldn’t you say?

d.bryant archie textiles
D. Bryant Archie Textiles, started as a dream, literally, and a passion for handmade textiles. D. Bryant Archie, the designer, was on her honeymoon in Morrocco when she had a dream of a textile line inspired by indigenous cultures and artifacts from around the world. Two years later her dream came to life, a luxurious collection of hand-woven alpaca blankets and pillows that are simply to die for…
Each blanket begins as a hand drawing by D Bryant. She is inspired by the yarn colors and the textiles, and each piece is finished with hand embroidery in Peru.
D. Bryant Archie chose baby alpaca for it’s hypoallergenic qualities and the fact that fiber itself has the strength of wool and the softness of cashmere.
Most recently, they have started a flax linen fabric line which is clean and green, and have also launched a collection of one-off and limited edition pillows created from vintage fabrics from around the world in hopes to reuse what is already out there!
I am loving this collection, what about you?

pretty sweet plover organic
Plover Organic has a beautiful collection of organic sheets, bedding and pillows. They are committed to their use of chemical free products – aside from 100% certified organic fabrics, they use only low-impact, fiber reactive dyes. I love the repetitive geometric squares and circle prints below. Those colors are making me excited for Spring!

murchison-hume
Oh yes, over here SL Inc. we adore this packaging, and the tongue in cheek descriptives on the essentials of tasteful cleaning products for your every whim & fancy. The Sydney based murchison-hume products are made with care and consideration from start to finish, clean & green ingredients, stylish little carrying caddies and totes, and a sweet story behind their brand as well. I’ll be testing out their ‘spit & polish’ chrome & steel cleaner – my o’keefe and merrit stove needs some gentle but firm tending to!

edun+sephora verdict
Okay readers! You may have seen my post from a few days ago on the Edun + Sephora collaboration. I promised you a follow up ingredients review from the clean beauty patrol over at No More Dirty Looks, and here it is. I’m quite aware of what I goes in my body, but understanding the on my body part can be a daunting task – often just simply understanding what the ingredients actually mean. Thanks to smart ladies such as Alex & Siobhan, getting to the nitty gritty on all of this is much easier. What products do you use? Do you check the ingredients on your beauty and grooming products?

beauty & groom
Soooo, you may remember a little while back I posted about the fabulous RMS Beauty and their lip & skin balm. RMS kindly contributed to the gift bags for the dinner party we designed for Earth Day. I still use the balm every day (or 10 times a day) and my lips are perfectly pleased. And now, I’m excited to have discovered their lip2cheek (says it all, right?). These little color pots are free of harmful chemicals, totally organic, and created to heal your skin while you use them. What’s not to like about that? Have any of you tried their products? Some cream eye shadow colors below as well.
Also! Have you heard about this collaboration between Edun organics and Sephora for their product with a ’globally minded mission’? Personally, the thought of Sephora gives me anxiety due to the complete scent-sory and visual overload of their mega store, however I am curious enough to venture in and see how this pairing with Edun has turned out. I’ll also be checking in with the go-to-girls for clean beauty products over at No More Dirty Looks and see what they think about the ingredients…Will get back to you all on it!
