weekend

treat yourself…

There’s a new site I’ve been pouring through recently called Bungalux. Founder Alex Brunkhorst is a truly lovely gal who, as a high-end Los Angeles real estate agent, started the site as a small email newsletter for her clients and friends to give them information about houses.

Once the readership began to grow, Alex decided to expand Bungalux to include a web destination for all things having to do with high-end homes and real estate. Read: VERY inspiring homes, great lifestyle ideas from the uber chic to the down home, so to speak. Whether you are or are not in the high end home realm, there’s something to enjoy. Needless to say, I was beyond thrilled when she asked that I contribute my top 10 gift guide for Valentine’s Day. My pleasure indeed! For some truly unique ideas to inspire, if I may say so myself, check it out here and let me know what you think!

On another exciting note, I want to make sure you all have had a chance to enter our candle giveaway over on Heather’s site! And how beautiful is this picture from Jeana?

Have a beautiful weekend everyone…it’s going to be gorgeous here in LA!

weekend

Happy Friday my friends! This weekend feels well deserved…how about for you? My week has been about locking down the next 3 months of planning – my Holiday Season has finally taken shape and it is looking quite busy for sure. For the weekend, I’m excited to say I’ll be setting up a home-town little engagement party for some wonderful friends who will be tying the knot. What sounds better than a Fall gathering for the sake of LOVE? Not much I tell you. My creative mind is steeped in Oct colors – and don’t they look so lovely, below? If only we could turn down the heatwave in LA, it might actually feel like we’ve hit this wonderful, cozy season.  Hope you have a great weekend, let me know what you’re up to! xxS

weekend…

Welcome weekend…I’m feeling like a lucky gal as I’m heading to Palm Springs. I’ll be spending the next couple of days treasure hunting, loving the sunshine, and enjoying some cocktails by the pool, no doubt!
What are your plans? Will you be escaping Fall like I am? Do tell!

weekend…

Alrightey, what do you have planned this weekend? My next few days will be packed with a dose of me time, some art parties, and an easy Sunday. Art Platform LA kicks off this weekend, so I’ll get started with a little cocktail preview there tonight. Tomorrow will bring breakfast with some friends followed by a low – key date night with my honey. We’re thinking dinner and the movie Drive. Have you seen it? Ryan Gosling, you say? Oh, and there’s nothing quite like the Sunday plan – a quiet morning hike topped off by capuccino and rhubarb tarts at Trails Cafe. Let’s get it started, hmm? Is your weekend packed, or are you leaving it open for a slow reveal? Do tell! xxS

weekend…

I’m feeling inspired by this technicolor dreamscape shot by Chris Nicholls for Flare magazine’s September issue. I’d like nothing more than to spend my weekend bringing some color into my surroundings…I’ve been knee deep in projects, so the thought of filling my home with brightly colored flowers, a fresh coat of paint and some warm, rosy colored lightbulbs sounds perfect. Reality? Probably not. A nice fantasy? Most definitely. What are you up to? Reality or fantasy plans, please.

weekend!

Hello weekend…I have been eagerly awaiting your arrival. While many are knee deep in NY Spring collections, I’ll be here in LA mixing up an intensive work schedule with some evenings out and about. Gallery openings, dinners, and a Sunday eve spent at Hollywood Bowl. LA will be treating me just fine this weekend. What are you up to?

weekend!

How thrilled are you that the long weekend is here? I hope you all have a relaxing few days lined up for yourselves; the end of a season should be recognized and appreciated. This Summer for me was full of unexpected change on personal and work fronts; I was tested beyond what I thought possible, and challenged to see what I’m truly made of… I’ll be reflecting on all of this past and thinking about what the future might hold with a little trip to Ojai. One thing’s for sure – I’ll appreciate the present time with some of my favorite activities: a leisurely morning or two, treasure hunting, hikes, painting by a poolside, and enjoying some sunset meals in good company. I’m looking forward to closing down Summer and welcoming Fall.  Friends, what are you up to? Do tell…I love to hear your stories.

weekend!

Happy Weekend friends. I’m going to do my best to take it easy and do as little as possible over the next couple of days. Specifically…I’ll be sitting in my garden doing some painting, possibly hitting up the Farmers Market for a cozy dinner with a very special someone on Sunday. Sounds nice, right? What do you have planned?

weekend!

Hello weekend…. What’s on your plate this weekend, friends? I’ll be combining work and play, and hopefully a bit of creative Simone time. Work is picking up to a very intense level – I’m managing about 15 different projects, which of course means personal time is very hard to find. I’m determined to carve some out, and I think it will come to me through sunset cocktails with friends this evening, and some quiet hours of painting or drawing for Saturday. Fingers crossed, as you never can tell. What are you up to beauties? Let me know! xxS

weekend!

Hi beauties, I hope you’re looking forward to a wonderful weekend. My Hawaii trip is coming to a close, and I’ll be heading back to Los Angeles with a sunkissed glow and a little bit of my heart and dreams left here on the islands. Is it selfish to pine for a mini staycation at home before returning to the demands of real life? I think not….What are you up to? And mid – August getaways? Let me know! xxS
